daniels-gillies:

it’s really important to show women who are not just offshoots of men. i would love to keep playing roles that challenge stereotypes of women, that educate the audience a little bit.

I was really shy as a kid. I felt really displaced at high school. I didn’t know where I fit in. I started taking acting classes after school and it was like my super secret club away from my normal life. I auditioned for two roles and got the second one, a show about mermaids, which ended up being a full-time job for the next three and a half years of my life.

I try to drink a lot of water, get eight hours of sleep a night and eat well. But ultimately what is most important is surrounding yourself with positive people and striving for happiness and balance in your life. I think it’s important to stay educated on what is happening around the world to really have perspective on your own life, it’s very easy to take things for granted.

I don’t know, I’m literally the most awkward, socially strange person.
