I try to be aware as much as I can of what’s going on in the world. It starts with you and if you can influence other people to live well, then its kinda that pay it forward thing.
“I don’t know, I’m literally the most awkward, socially strange person.”
What I’ve realized was that Klaus was very kind to Hayley before Elijah came back. In scene 1x02 they had a sweet moment where he said they were similar and said he’d fix the air conditioning, which was very significant in showing that he cared for her, not only because of the baby, but her comfort in general. Then in 1x03, when Klaus asked Hayley what it was about Elijah that got her admiration, she said simply he was kind to her. That was a very telling scene. Then in 1x04 where he carried her when she fell and looked genuinely concerned for her and the baby when he ran over to see if she was ok after the werewolf attack. I think he was trying to earn her respect and yes her adoration. He was being very kind to her, the exact thing she said she got from Elijah. He was trying to win her over, earn her respect and yes her adoration. He wanted to be the “hero” in her eyes. Not romantically, but I think Klaus was really trying to have a good relationship with Hayley for the baby’s sake.
However, as soon as Elijah came I noticed that there was barely any interaction between Klaus and Hayley, which I think the writers did on purpose to show how Elijah just kind of pushed his way in. He practically took over. The scene where Klaus says “She’s adored you since she arrived”, and his face was filled with contempt and jealousy, that really explained it all.
sitting in the balcony and listening to the kooks and fatm definitely the best thing i have done in this week
